The path of possibilities is vast, extensive, often determined by a large number of external factors. Each human being is born, builds themselves, is faced with a number of choices in life, taking different paths that compose their existence. In this new exhibition, Halfstudio proposes a universal and repetitive pattern that we follow on each of these paths.

According to the artists, human beings are built on change and follow a certain process with unchanging stages; whether these changes are personal, societal, political, creative, among others.

Let us imagine ourselves faced with a chain of mountains to climb. Let us choose one: The first stage, at the base of the mountain, is that of questioning. We allow ourselves to be carried away by our dreams, our will, our truth, what we wish and hope for this world, for ourselves. We idealise our quest. Reaching the second stage, we climb, take a tortuous path, it is the concretisation of our thoughts, the affirmation of ideas and their confrontation with the world around us. It is a path full of pitfalls, sinuous. We dare, we resist, we fight. The third stage is the arrival at the summit. We look at the view, satisfied, enlightened, breathing the air, filling our lungs, letting the power of the present moment invade us as if it were going to exist forever. The power of introspection then takes over. The fourth and final stage is the descent, the landing, a feeling of great freedom and unification, an immersion in strong feelings that seem to still be under construction. Deconstructed and reconstructed.

We end our journey with the feeling of a certain “unsatisfied” satisfaction, which can perhaps be resolved by a future potential.

Then, we can look towards the next mountain and climb, once and again.
