Eleven artists have been invited to reflect on food, meals and the refectory. In this shared meal, they feed us with a variety of ideas that mirror the concepts most present in their artistry.

With the prevalence of smartphones, social media, and streaming services, mealtime has increasingly become a solitary experience for many of us.
Rather than engaging in face-to-face conversation with family or friends, we are more focused on our digital devices, scrolling through social media feeds, watching videos, or texting.
This shift in attention away from interpersonal interaction during meals diminish the sense of connection and shared experience that traditionally accompanied communal dining.

We still have time to change this.
When we are fully present and aware of who is with us, shared meals provide us opportunities to connect with one another on a deeper level, communicate, and create lasting memories together.
